Bitcoin Fork Details...

Bitcoin has successfully forked and here is what you need to know..

1. There are now 2 Bitcoins.

Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) which is an exact copy of Bitcoin and functions in the same way. The addresses used to store the coins are even the same too so basically everyone who was holding Bitcoin before the fork will now automatically have the exact same amount of BCH. 

We believe having two Bitcoins is actually a good thing because each chain will begin to diverge from the other adding new technical upgrades in time that will grow and compete with each other. The potential of this coin is very exciting but it's still brand new and it will take some time to mature. 

2. Is BitClub mining Bitcoin Cash? 

Right now we are currently testing some power and helping to secure the new Bitcoin Cash blockchain. Our feeling is we really need to help secure the transactions and help by verifying blocks on behalf of all members who now have the coin. 

However, we are only pointing a very limited amount of power for testing and our plan is to continue to evaluate how this ecosystem will grow before committing resources to it. If everything is stable and goes to plan then we will support it and even consider running a full Bitcoin Cash mining pool.

Bitcoin Cash is great news for our members (and all miners). We basically all just got a lot of free money and if this continues to grow it gives us two coins to mine with our machines which can only help in providing the most profitable mining opportunities.

We recommend that you withdrawal your Bitcoin Cash from your BitClub wallet as soon as it's available so that you can have full control over it in a BCH wallet. Thanks for your patience as we continue to explore and learn more about this new token.

Bitcoin Cash is Now Available... 
On August 1st right before the fork happened we froze all Bitcoin wallet balances and took a snap shot of how much each account had. You will now see this balance has been matched with the exact same amount of Bitcoin Cash. 

To be clear if you had 12.57 Bitcoin when the fork happened you will now have 12.57 Bitcoin + 12.57 Bitcoin Cash that you can withdrawal from your account. 

You can now view this under Bitcoin Cash Wallet

*NOTE: You will not be able to withdrawal your Bitcoin Cash yet, but you can just see your available balance. We expect the withdrawals to be live later this week as we are building the withdrawal functionality and waiting for the chain to become more stable.

Bitcoin Withdrawals LIVE... 

Bitcoin is now available for withdrawal and you can request your Bitcoin just like you did prior to the fork.

BitClub Mines 3,000th Block!

We hit a big milestone today by surpassing 3,000 total blocks mined. When we first started mining back in 2014 the block reward was 25 per block and we learned a lot as we set out to create a massive mining operation. Now 3 years later and we did it! 

Overall the combined total of all Bitcoin mined and paid out to BitClub members is over 55,370 Bitcoin, which today is worth almost $190 Million USD.
